The Microsoft Azure Cloud is making an impact on a lot of companies. Here is how three companies found that the Azure cloud technology was just the right system for them to use.

Credenza

Start with 30 customers, and in one year go to 600. Can’t be done? Well Credenza says it can.

This software firm specializes in providing customer service with Microsoft Outlook. The service added features to Outlook with tools for logging phone calls, opening client-related documents, and tracking billable time among other services. While the service was doing well, it was not climbing up the ladder of market attainment. There were just too many limitations on their product. But that was when they decided to change their focus from a client app to a cloud app.

The result? Their app became affordable and scalable. And they did climb up the ladder of market attainment. They went from 30 customers to 600 in one year.

And that was not all. Now the Credenza business model could be adjusted and re-written to take advantage of the growth opportunity afforded by the Azure cloud.

DesignerCity

Another firm, interested in pushing the digital touch technology, made use of the Azure cloud to push its products to their customers faster than before with the result of a scalable solution that has been successful.

Since DesignerCity builds multiple applications for the Web, from education to finance, from retail to Xbox Kinect, they wanted to have a scalable product that would make their products available anywhere in the world. The Azure cloud provided them with reduced costs and large scalability features.

Gradatim

This company provides niche solutions for financial institutions, and it looks to make programs available that deal with insurance policies and loan management applications. To meet the demand and reduce it’s own cost of deployment, Gradatim pushed its software platform to the Azure cloud. As a result, its customer deployment speed operations increased by 84 percent  and reduced costs by up to million.

These companies show how effective using the Azure cloud can be: reduced costs, increase market share… a positive way to grow the business.
