Every year Microsoft opens up a public beta program to Xbox users to test out the coming software updates before they are rolled out to everyone. If you enroll in the program, you will receive an update to your console before most everyone with the new software to test.

The enrollment is now open for the 2012 Xbox LIVE Update Beta program which includes:

• Internet Explorer for Xbox
• Personalized dashboard recommendations
• Enhanced category search and discovery features
